Dr Caydee Jane Matthews
Practice Owner and Veterinary Surgeon
Dr Caydee has always had a special place in her heart for animals but only came into veterinary medicine in her late 30's. Prior to being a veterinarian she spent some time in Financial Crime Risk and has been lucky enough to live in several different countries including South Africa, Taiwan and Singapore.
Caydee and her husband moved to Australia in 2013 and she moved into animal care. She completed a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Murdoch in 2018.
Building Hillarys Vet is a realisation of a long held goal of business ownership and represents a dream come true.
We live with our lovely whippet Perkins and our sweet greyhound Annie; two independent cats, Harry and Lucy; and a loud, colourful Little Corella, Monroe!
During 2023 Caydee completed a Graduate Certificate in Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care from the University of Melbourne. She is thrilled to have her practice open and be able to serve the animals in our community.
We have an amazing team and are look forward to seeing all our patients and their humans!

Dr Megan Stevenson
Veterinary Surgeon
Dr Megan has been in general practice in Perth for about 100 years (actually closer to 20). While she has seen and examined most things she is still constantly surprised and delighted on a daily basis by the creatures she meets. Over the years she has developed a love for managing skin disease (the itchier, the crustier the better!) as well as doing her best to solve medical mysteries so her patients feel better and can be living a well, pain free life like they deserve. She believes in open communication and strives to have the humans comfortable in understanding what's going on with their pets’ health.
Outside of clinic hours you will find her hanging with her daughter and her dwarf lop rabbit Nibbles or cycling away on her spin bike dreaming of playing golf and drinking wine in Italy.

Dr Laura Milner
Veterinary surgoen
Dr Laura started her veterinary career over 30 years ago in her native UK before moving to the warmer climate of Perth in 2005.
She enjoys working in a clinic where she can build long term relationships with her patients (and their people) and support them through all their life stages.
She believes in collaborative care and enjoys working with animals to ensure their veterinary visits are stress free and as enjoyable as possible. As such she has been a member of the fear free community for many years.
To relax Dr Laura gardens and reads accompanied by her two cats and occasionally her teenaged son!

Bella Whyte
Registered Veterinary Nurse
Ever since she was a little girl Bella has always been fascinated with animals. As a toddler a typical day involved watching animal planet on repeat, so it made sense when she decided to study and become a veterinary nurse.
Bella began her nursing journey in 2021 at a 24-hour emergency hospital here in our northern suburbs, she gained the skill set to work in a fast-paced environment dealing with critical care patients.
Outside of work you’ll find her camping or going to the beach with her partner and his cheeky kelpie Reef; or snuggled up with her cat Mali and a good book. Bella grew up with two boisterous Staffie brothers Tank and Dozer! This has given all Staffies out there a special place her heart.

Corinne Power

Corinne graduated as a Veterinary Nurse in 2008 and has worked in general practice as a registered Veterinary Nurse, largely in theatre and hospital / patient care roles, since 2010. She has a huge love for all things anaesthesia, pain management and care of geriatric patients… she’s somewhat of a nerd and is constantly taking part in courses and continued professional development to better her knowledge and increase standards for patients in her care.
In addition to a Diploma in Canine Myofunctional Therapy (massage therapy) attained through the Australian College of Traditional Medicine in 2018, Corinne gained her AVA/VNCA Veterinary Nurse Accreditation through the Australian Veterinary Association in 2023, something she wanted to achieve for many years.
Outside of work Corinne and her partner have two human boys and love camping, hiking, mountain biking and surfing. Corinne also enjoys raising/fostering stray neonate kittens!
